Hello all!
First I have one complaint....this site is TOO good!
I can get distracted from what I came here for, when I go in search of images! (Thanks!) Not only have I found it most helpful, but it is truly a joy to browse images, read the forums, and follow Tristan's many interesting links! I mentioned that I added a link from my site somewhere else, but feel the need to explain why it's where it is--on the Kindred Spirits page. It landed there, rather than my (future) "Sites We Like" page, because, though I don't know anyone here (yet?) I do think of Image*After & it's members as Kindred Spirits! I've found so many talented artists, so many like-mined creative people, that this site is a step above any of the other forums or net communities I've joined! I had some browser issues, which I've fixed, so I will be stopping in more often now!
A quick about me: 35 y/o who returned to college after working as a makeup artist & business manager, to learn digital design. I have only been Photoshop-ing for a short time (month & 1/2 max) and am an addict, I have some background in traditional art media, but like the easy clean up and storage of digital work much better!
I have one website I contribute to regularly & one I created for my college astronomy class. I am planning to make yet another when I have a break from classes, geared to artists. The idea: collaborative art. For example...two artists begin with two or more of the same image & make whatever they want out of it, to fit a theme. Next, they switch projects & make something new or manipulate each other's work. At the end, all four images are shown together. This is only one example & it may be as long as spring before I set this up, but if anyone is interested, please email me Nejij@inbox.com
OK...I have to go to bed FOR real! I made the mistake of showering to late & thought I'd browse here more...I don't want to think about how long ago that was!
