Indeed been a while! I suggest you check out photos made by a friend of ours: Paul Horstman. He did an education in instrument making and took allot of photos of wood curls etc. maybe it is what you are looking for?

Hi. Been a while since I visited the forums though I often drop by to look a the images.

I'm interested in images which might have some decent sized 'hand hewn' wood type details - axe, hatchet, adze, chisel and knife marks and gouges.

Backlinks are very welcome but not really necessary.

i am starting a new website and i just found that this site is having great pictures which would suit my site , so as i was saying i will be required some images for my sites like header image, footer image and in all other areas where i can put the images from this site in my site . i just want to know that whether it is necessary to give the backlinks to this site if i use the images from this site . and also i will also be having a gallery section in my site where i will put some images from this site , is it ok or do i have to put the backlinks of this site in my site.
also i want to know whether it is necessary to post some amount of posts every month for using this sites images , i know this question is stupid but hey i want to clarify myself

this is perfectly o.k.; actually the only thing that we don't want is that somebody steals our images and start another Image*After (alike) website with it; ie directly compete with us with our own images... Rest of it - even if it means making money with them - is o.k.. They are there to be used, cut-up and whatever you see fit. Raw material

Hi,
I am a crafter and am looking for artwork that I can use on a commercial level but need to understand a little more about your license before using any of your artwork.
I would like to use images to create backgrounds, toppers and / or decoupage and more which would be available to purchase and download from a website for other crafters to use to print, cut up and use to make cards / other craft projects and would like to enquire as to whether this is allowed with your images. I would not use the image as a whole, I would use a section of an image or the textures to use with blending modes in conjunction with my own images. If you like I could always send you an example of something I have created using one of my own images along with the original so that you can see what I plan to do?
From what I can see this looks ok but just want to double double check!

Thanks for such a great site....Question: I'm starting a Web site and need free images to get it off the ground. Hence, your site! What I am wondering, though, is whether I can use your images anywhere on my Web site without having to post a link, acknowledgment, credit, or the like. I read the terms of use and didn't see this, I don't believe, but I wanted to make certain I'm not missing anything. Almost every site I've seen requires some sort of acknowledgment, usually a link to their site or a "source: John Doe" type of credit. Do you not require this?

Are there any other specific limitations I should be aware of, as it relates to using your images on my Web site?
