We started Image*After because we, while working as multimedia designers/programmers, discovered that there was not much highresolution photographic material available. We decided that instead of buying expensive photo's, we would be better off with a digital camera and started to make our own material. Because we know how hard it is to find good material to use for your work, we offer everybody who wants to, our highresolution pictures for free through this website. Keep in mind though that these are NOT meant to be stock-photos or stand-alone pieces of work - they are raw material, to be used and/or edited for whatever purpose you see fit.

If you want to know which pictures are new on the site, a free newsletter is available for subscription, and through this you will weekly receive links to the new pics by mail.

We also feature an abstract search. With this slightly bizarre tool you are able to search by photo properties. You might look for a furry background for your works but are not so specific on it being from swans wing or fake prehistoric rhino hair -just soft. Select the photo properties and search trough the results.

When browsing the images you can click on a little scissors-icon. This adds the image to your "clipping-box". The clipping-box is your collection of favorite images. You can email the links to the images to yourself or someone else you want to show them to.

We are three persons from the Netherlands (Alkmaar/Haarlem)involved in design one way or another. We all do graphical design mainly for electronic media. Lex is the most technical of us three. He maintains our server, does our scripting and manages our databases. Tristan does the design and html for the site. Stefan is our main photographer. Most of the images that are not donated belong to him.
